The Song And Dance Of The Night Garden is a soft ethereal abstract mixed media work with reference to the 'flitterings' of the evening insects that inhabit this space and come out to dine and play in the evening displaying their mesmerising choreography.

I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. This work uses many mark-making tools and some created collage elements. The expressive marks replicate the random movements created when insects chase their food at night, with the quieter elements that are reflective of sitting outside in the dark surrounded by the stillness which is being interrupted by the choreography of the nightlife.

This is a larger work and is a beautiful statement piece which will enhance any space. It is strong, but also reflective and soulful. It will draw you in and you will find many moments within the work that will bring you joy. Suitable for home or office.
