An Evening Dance is a rich, evocative work referencing the mesmerizing push and pull of the water, creating the everchanging reflections against the shore. The peace and tranquility of sitting on the beach sands under a moonlit, but cloudy sky watching the evening reflections dancing across the surf break. The dark areas provoke the moodiness of the weather, whilst the reflections bring the beauty.
I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.
This is a larger work that is definitely a statement piece. It will bring a dynamic, and bold accent to its space. Suitable for home or office.
