Bloom is a layered, mixed media painting celebrating the first bloom of a spring season and the joy that can be brought by its simplicity and beauty, whilst the shadows of the winter chill are still remembered.

I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. This work uses a confident neutral palette and strong shapes and a bold accent with underlying history in texture to create the many layers that bring the depth to the work that I love.
