Cold Snap

‍Cold Snap ‍is a reimagination of the day that it was painted. Freezing cold in the studio - even when the sun was managing to peak through. The day started off quite nicely, however the chill managed to over-ride any semblance of warmth that may have been trying to break through. Created using acrylic and collage. These little works are able to be either hung or self-standing, and will also make fabulous little gifts.

I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. The random mark-making offset by the collage components create a beautiful balance. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.

Although smaller in size, this work will create a beautiful moment when placed in your space. It is simple and brimming with expectation. Suitable for home or office.
