Down By The Docks

Down By The Docks is an expressive, bold acrylic abstract referencing the industry and activities that are undertaken on the Industrial River Bank Port areas. With the use of blues and geometric shapes and lines the hustle and bustle of cranes, ships and metal is conveyed.

I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.

This is a mid-size to larger work that brings a feeling of constant movement and structure of 24 hour portside momentum to a space. Suitable for either home or office environments.
