I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. This work uses a couple of varied elements to create the tension. The simplicity of the solid blacks against the joyful movement and expression of the white marks. I love how the white marks marginally infringe on the hard borders that the black marks in places - as if to be teasing the stoic and strength of the permanence with the joy of experiencing the freedom of the fleeting moments of joy.
This is a larger work and is a beautiful statement piece which will enhance any space. It is strong, but also reflective and soulful. It will draw you in and you will find many moments within the work that will bring you joy. Suitable for home or office.
