Harsh is a strong abstract painting inspired by the harsh, wind-whipped dryness of outback Australia, and the strength and resilience the people need to embrace to live and work in this environment.
I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me, and this piece is no different.
This is a larger work that is definitely a statement piece. The bold colours and strength of mark making will draw attention. Suitable for home or office environments.
