Inundation

Inundation is an expressive, bold acrylic abstract showcasing the impact of the never-ending rains (which can often wreak havoc in Australia) can have on place and person. Painted in a strong mid blues with the persistent overlay of marks representing the deluge that creeps up the vastness to swallow all around it.

I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different. Painted in cool blue tones with marks suggesting the unstoppability and inevitability of the incessant rain.
