Moody Blues is an abstract painting using layered acrylic to convey the beautiful tranquility of a sodden hinterland landscape. Painted in cool, yet inviting tones to create a restful and moody piece.

I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. This work uses the simplicity of nuanced cool colours interacting with each other in their simplest form along with the strength of the layered geometric elements. Whilst this is still quite a simple work, the elements all work together to create something interesting and restful.

This is a larger work and is a beautiful statement piece which will sit beautifully in its space. It uses the strength of the gorgeous blue palette and the mark making to captivate and convey the coolness of a wet hinterland day. Suitable for home or office.
