My Kind Of Perfect is a layered, mixed media painting exploring the impact of the perfectly curated and photographed world that we are now finding ourselves in. This piece reflects how the mess and mayhem can in fact be ‘the perfect’ for some, who - like me can find the perfectly curated often has no ‘soul’. Sometimes it’s the messy, imperfect that is perfect.
I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. This work uses the simplicity of the colour palette along with a generous collection of collage elements and mark-making to generate the texture and strength. The many layers bring the history that I love in a work.
This is a Mid-Size work and is a beautifully chaotic piece which will invite the viewer to look into the work and as such enhance your space. It uses strength of shape, layers of gorgeous collage and many mark-making elements to be strong, but not overwhelming work. Suitable for home or office.
