Harsh, rugged ridgelines and ravines beside the undulating sand hills, burnt surfaces and the resilience and strength of native shrubbery. This work speaks to the the underlying conversations this land wants to have with us, and the reverence this land provokes. These little works are able to be hung or be self-standing.
I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. The random mark-making offset by the collage components create a beautiful balance. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.
Although smaller in size, this work will create a beautiful moment when hung in your space. It is simple and brimming with expectation. Suitable for home or office.
