Redesigning The Natural Order is a work which explores the strength of movement and complexity. A reflection on urban encroachment and development. Using strong dark colours, it speaks to the masculinity of urban development and renewal over-riding the natural environment. Simple in colour and form, layers of free expression come together to create a beautifully simple work that is strong and commanding.

I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this works. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. The random mark-making offset by the collage components create a beautiful balance. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.
