Rhapsody in Red

Rhapsody In Red is a bold expressive abstract work inspired by the immersive feeling of strong orchestral scores and the internal mental energy being created translated to canvas. Using tools to move the paint on the canvas instead of brushes has created this wonderfully immersive strength of whole that I thoroughly enjoy.

I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. This work uses the simplicity of colours applied with strength and conviction. Whilst this is quite a simple work, the elements all work together to create something interesting, bold, enveloping and visually exciting.

This is a larger work and is a beautiful statement piece which will sit beautifully in its space. It uses the strength of the deep reds and black and the mark making to captivate and convey the excitement of movement and being enveloped in the wholeness. Suitable for home or office.
