She Wore Pink Lipstick and French Perfume is an expressive abstract work using bright colours with over-riding highlights of turquoise - which may reference jewellery or accessories - the oranges that (to me) reference perfume, and the pinks harking to well applied lipstick all coming together to recreate the joy brought by dressing up for a wonderful night out in your finery. I think the fact that this is also a tall slim painting points to a beautiful woman who smells gorgeous and commands the room upon entry.

I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me, and this piece is no different.
