Sugar And Spice (and All Things Nice) is an expressive abstract which uses layered acrylic and mixed media to create a work which holds sweetness and spicy joy that harks to memories and joy of indulging in a hot buttered spicy bun.

I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. This work uses the simplicity of the colour palette along with expressive brush and drip marks to represent the dance of tastebuds when enjoying something delicious . The luxurious gold is used to take you to a sumptuous memory of joy. Whilst quite a bold work, it is also gentle.

This is a larger work and is a beautiful statement piece which will enhance any space. It uses neutrals to convey the quiet joy of sweet bliss, but doesn’t lose the ability to hold attention. Suitable for home or office.
