The Awe Of A Summer Sunset - is an intense, almost visceral immersion in the gorgeous pinks and oranges often seen blazing across the sky at dusk during an Australian Summer. The white heat of the day has not abated, and we are all still lazing around trying to keep cool the best way we know how. The overwhelming palette of the gorgeous sunset heralding a hope that the evening will be a little cooler.
I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.
Although smaller in size, this work will create a beautiful statement when hung in the right space. It is dynamic and strong, but also reflective and soulful. It will draw you in and you will find many moments within the work that will bring you joy. Suitable for home or office.
