The Conversation is a dynamic interplay of colour and form, evoking dialogue and emotional exchange. It is painted in a naive, bold style, again utilising many layers of acrylic to create texture and interest where the interplay of the strong sitting on top of the soft, almost hidden elements of the layers beneath. These under-layers, although lessened, still bring their strength and interest to the work.
I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.
This is a larger work that will make a beautiful statement when hung in the right space. It is dynamic and strong, in a beautifully simple colour palette. Suitable for home or office.
