The Corners of My Mind

The Corners Of My Mind is a textured work using contrast to reflect on the concept of the dark recesses in your mind that hold the thoughts that you don’t often visit. Some that you want to hide, and others that you like to call upon as required. The thoughts are always there, but there is usually many other things taking your attention to mask their retrieval.

I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. This work with its muted neutral colour palette and expressive mark-making is soft and expressive, yet also quite confident. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me, and this piece just spoke ‘ones and zero’s’ to me.

This is a smaller work that will work well in a small space that needs a soft moment or as a partner piece to add to a collection. Suitable for either a home or office environment.
