The Glimpsing Of Fading Memories - is a spirited abstract painting exploring emotion and impermanence through layered acrylic. Painted in a strong and striking red with elements that stand out from the surface, and others that merge into the background, a dialogue and emotional exchange is created which reminds me of trying to retrieve a memory that is hazy, but also still available. It uses many layers of paint to create texture and interest.
I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.
This is a larger work that is definitely a statement piece. When hung in the right space it will bring a dynamic, bright and bold accent. Suitable for home or office.
