“Turbulence - The Renegade” is part of Felicity Rutherford’s Yellow Series, a bold and expressive painting exploring emotional turbulence through layered abstraction. It earned the nickname of ‘The Renegade’ as it was determined not to follow the ‘yellow’ theme of the series of which it was a part. Felicity loves that it had it’s own agenda, and held it’s ground - despite her futile efforts of trying to bring it ‘into line’. It was determined to be what it wanted to be, and now is. A trait that she whole-heartedly embraces within her life and works.
