The Art Of Serenity This is a work using collage to capture the poignancy of quiet moments. The recognition of sitting with the natural rhythms and beauty that is found around you, and the joy of being at one whilst in these surroundings. These little works are able to be either self-standing or hanging. Suitable for Home or Office. If you’d like a set, this work can be paired with ‘As Winter Falls’.
I’ve used several techniques whilst creating this painting. I love to create works that are intuitive and expressive with many layers, textures and surprising elements. The random mark-making offset by the collage components create a beautiful balance. Works that are borne from how things make me feel - not necessarily the image I am seeing. All my works hark back to where my mind has taken me to, and this piece is no different.
Although smaller in size, this work will create a beautiful moment when placed in your space. It is simple and brimming with expectation. Suitable for home or office.
